Pompeii by Bastille. Ignore the commentary in the very beginning. It’s in a British accent, so I’m not complaining. I just like when this song really kicks in. It’s very catchy. My favorite line: “How am I gonna be an optimist about this?” I often ask myself this question!

“Please don’t say you love me” - Gabrielle Aplin. I just broke my own rule about not putting the same artist more than once on my blog. Oh well. This is worth it. It’s one of those songs I really wish wrote. Really wish. However, I am nowhere near that talented. I’ve been in a weirdly emotional mood for the past couple of days and this is perfect for that.

One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. “I don’t know,” Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”

-Lewis Carroll

Song of the Day: “Atlantic City” by The Band. Original by Bruce Springsteen. I actually really like Springsteen’s version, but I might like this one a little better. The Band is a little different than some of the other artists I put up here, but their rendition just makes me happy. And I think my favorite songs/bands are those that blur genre lines. Is this country? rock? folk? folky rock? Who knows.
